Kinnaird Parent Partnership

Welcome to Kinnaird Parent Partnership.

The Scottish Schools (Parental Involvement) Act 2006 gives parents the right to receive information about their child’s education and to be represented and have their views expressed through the Parent Council. Kinnaird Primary has had a Parent Council since the school opened. Its name is  “KINNAIRD PARENT COUNCIL”. As of November 2021 this name has now changed to "KINNAIRD PARENT PARTNERSHIP"

Its main aims are

  • To identify and represent the views of all parents on the education provided by the school and other matters affecting the education and welfare of pupils
  • To work in partnership with the school to create a welcoming school environment which is inclusive for all parents
  • To promote partnership between the school, its pupils, all its parents and the local community
  • To develop and engage in activities which support the education and welfare of the pupils.
